About Our Guest Speaker

Beena Parikh PhD.jpg
Dr. Beena M. Parikh is a dedicated Central Florida native with a diverse and impactful career. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and returned to Orlando to help children, adolescents, and families navigate mental health challenges.
 
Beena is deeply committed to giving back to her community, not only through financial contributions but also by dedicating her time and expertise to several causes. Beena serves on multiple advisory boards where she works on initiatives aimed at improving youth education, housing, and health programs, and providing essential healthcare services to the underserved and underinsured populations.
 
Beena and her husband, Dr. Amish M. Parikh, are passionate about the arts and community development. Balancing her professional, community, and family commitments, Beena brings boundless energy and enthusiasm to all her endeavors. Through the Parikh Giving Alliance, she and her husband continue to contribute to the betterment of the community.

The mission of Shakthi US is to provide a space for survivors of domestic and intimate partner abuse, with a focus on the South Asian community. By providing a safe space and culturally sensitive resources we assist families in building independent lives free of violence.
